About Beyond Butterflies
Monique is a Spiritual Medium. She communicates with loved ones in the Spirit World. As she brings forth evidence from the communicator, she will unfold moments of their life in human form.
Monique loves doing Private Sittings as they are the time when both the Spirit World and their loved ones can be reunited for private moments. These are mainly memories and love but can also be reconciliation and forgiveness. Often there can be fun and laughter but also emotion and tears.
It is a privilege to be the link between the two worlds and I feel honoured that I am allowed to glimpse into people’s lives and share their memories.
All Monique’s sittings are conducted via Zoom.
Butterflies are symbolic of how beautiful and tremendous transformation can be. They represent how the next version or iteration can be so different and yes, sometimes scary to see things take on a whole new, foreign form.
But wow, how beautiful that form can be.
One thing we seem to gloss over when we think of the transformation of a butterfly is what happens to the caterpillar inside the cocoon.
Did you know that a caterpillar essentially becomes a messy pile of goo before it emerges as a breathtaking butterfly?
The lessons of the butterfly are:
It’s okay to be in a “messy” state
Transformation can and will happen
The unknown on the other side of metamorphosis and growth can be scary, but it can turn out to be more beautiful and freeing than you can imagine.

Me a medium? What I can say is that my mom and family in the SW are so proud ! And I am extremely honored and humbled to be healing the prayers of my ancestors.
Going to see a medium in my 20´s was a normal and regular thing. My mom, sister and I went quite often. We were fascinated by the contacts. Did I ever think I would become a medium? Not really. Back then, you went to college and had a career. Mediumship was still considered woo-woo. So, I went on to have a corporate career in Human Resources. Little did I know it was the perfect training to become a medium. Conversations with strangers and building relationships. I´ve since learned the impact I made on so many people's lives.
A career in HR was not my calling. After several layoffs and periods of unemployment, not sure how many doors slammed, it was time to move on. It was during lunch with a friend when the ah-ha moment happened. She was going on a trip and was matched with a roommate. That roommate was dabbling in mediumship. I asked who she was studying with. The next thing I know, my friend and I were in Park City attending a weekend seminar with Suzanne Gieseman! I was hooked! When I got home I registered to study with Mavis Patilla, a world renowned medium in the UK and one of Suzanne's teachers. I was on the waiting list and had no idea when and if I would be accepted.
In the meantime, I took several online classes. Three months later I was accepted into Mavis´ mentorship program! It has been four years of classes and practicing, 3 trips to the UK for intensive weeks and working in the churches there. Mediums are always working to improve and our training never stops. They say ¨when the student is ready, the teacher will appear.¨ I am continuing my training with Andy Byng, also an international medium from the UK who now lives in Canada.
When my mom transitioned, 20 something years ago, we said to her ïf this communicating with people in the spirit world is real, you better come back and talk to us!¨ LOL. She is my biggest support and cheerleader! She escorts loved ones who have never communicated and shows them how it's done…always the gentle guiding hand.
